Privacy Policy

HabitRacer ("the app", "we", "us") is a habit-tracking app for Android operated by Tech Pattarai. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time.

Information we collect

Account information

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. This is used to identify your account and back up your data.

Habit and app data

• The habits you create, your completion history, streaks, and reminder settings.
• Messages you send to Leo, the in-app AI coach, and the relevant habit context used to personalise its response. This is sent to our AI service only when you use Leo.
• Your Google account profile picture, when Google sign-in supplies one. The current app does not upload custom profile photos; its selectable avatars are bundled artwork.
• Subscription and purchase-status information needed to unlock Pro. Payment-card details are handled by Google Play and are not received by HabitRacer.

Automatically collected information

• Basic diagnostics such as crash reports and performance data, used to keep the app working reliably.
• Firebase installation, analytics, crash, performance, and integrity identifiers used for diagnostics, product analytics, fraud prevention, and App Check.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect health or fitness data from other apps or services.
• We do not access your contacts, location, microphone, or unrelated files. Photo access occurs only when you choose a profile image.
• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service: tracking habits, syncing your data across devices, and sending the reminders you set up.
• To power Leo's coaching, which is generated from your habit activity.
• To fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
• To process subscriptions, restore purchases, and provide Pro entitlements.

Third-party services

HabitRacer uses the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud data storage, crash reporting, and deletion of any legacy profile-photo upload associated with an account.
• Google Play Billing — processing Pro subscriptions. We never see or store your payment details.
• RevenueCat — validating purchases and maintaining Pro entitlement status.
• Cloudflare — securely operating the Leo API and short-term coach memory.
• Groq — generating Leo's AI responses from the message and habit context you submit.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers and protected in transit with encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production data is restricted, and the app uses integrity checks (Firebase App Check) to block unauthorised access.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

When you delete your account, your habits, history, chat messages, and account record are permanently removed from our systems. Residual copies in backups are purged within 30 days.

Children

HabitRacer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise all of these from within the app, or by contacting us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
